Get Ready for 10 Days That Reshape History! This incredible journey focuses on Turkey’s most powerful and legendary sites. We kick off in magnificent Istanbul, then head straight to the emotional battlefields of Gallipoli, the ancient myths of Troy, and the vast ruins of Pergamum. Next, prepare to be amazed by the dazzling white terraces of Pamukkale and the architectural marvels of Ephesus. Finally, we finish strong in the surreal, cave-filled landscape of Cappadocia. We’ve taken care of all the comfortable transport, great hotels, and expert guiding, so you can focus entirely on soaking up the legends.

Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrival in Istanbul

Arrive at Istanbul Airport (IST or SAW) where our driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day free to relax or take a short walk around the neighborhood.

Day 2 — Free Day in Istanbul

Breakfast Included

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the hotel. Today is free for you to explore Istanbul’s Old City on your own. If you prefer, you can join our optional small-group tour of Istanbul’s historic areas (6–8 people, $135 per person, minimum 2 participants), which includes a guide, entrance fees, and lunch.

Day 3 — Gallipoli Tour

Breakfast & Lunch Included

Pick-up at 06:30–07:00 for a drive to the Gallipoli Peninsula. Your guide will take you through the key sites of the WWI battle:

  • Brighton Beach & Beach Cemetery — quiet memorials to the fallen
  • ANZAC Cove & Commemorative Site — the landing points of Allied forces
  • Lone Pine Australian Memorial & Chunuk Bair — major memorials
  • Turkish 57th Infantry Regiment Cemetery — honoring Ottoman soldiers

Lunch is included at a local restaurant. Later, cross the Dardanelles by ferry and settle into your hotel in Çanakkale.

Day 4 — Troy & Pergamum

Breakfast & Lunch Included

Pick-up 08:30–08:45 for Troy. Explore:

  • Trojan Horse (replica) — symbol of Homer’s epic story
  • Apollo Temple & City Walls — ancient ruins
  • Roman Theater — remains of Greco-Roman life

Continue to Pergamum:

  • Great Library — ancient center of knowledge
  • Altar of Zeus — historic site
    Lunch is included at a local restaurant. Transfer to Kuşadası/Selçuk in the evening.
    Overnight in Kuşadası/Selçuk

Day 5 — Pamukkale & Hierapolis

Breakfast & Lunch Included
Pick-up 07:30–08:00 for the Pamukkale-Hierapolis tour:
• Pamukkale Travertines — natural white terraces
• Hierapolis Ancient City — Roman ruins and necropolis
Optional swim in Cleopatra’s Pool (extra fee). Lunch included at a local restaurant. Return to your hotel in Kuşadası.

Day 6 — Ephesus

Breakfast & Lunch Included

Pick-up 09:00–09:30 for a guided visit to Ephesus:

  • Temple of Artemis — one of the Seven Wonders
  • Ephesus Ancient City — Library of Celsus, Hadrian Temple, Theater
  • House of Virgin Mary — recognized pilgrimage site

Lunch is included. Optional carpet demonstration after the tour.
Overnight in Kuşadas

Day 7 — Travel to Cappadocia

Breakfast Included

Transfer to the airport for a flight to Cappadocia (direct or via Istanbul). Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and settle in.

Day 8 — Northern Cappadocia

Breakfast & Lunch Included

Optional hot air balloon ride early in the morning. Pickup at 09:30–10:00 for the Northern Cappadocia tour:

  • Goreme Panorama — fairy chimneys and scenic views
  • Goreme Open-Air Museum — Byzantine cave churches
  • Pasabag & Devrent Valleys — unique rock formations
  • Ortahisar & Love Valley — village and scenic viewpoints

Lunch included at a local restaurant. Visit a pottery village (optional workshop).
Overnight in Cappadocia

Day 9 — Southern Cappadocia

Breakfast & Lunch Included

Pickup at 09:30–10:00 for the Southern Cappadocia tour:

  • Uchisar Castle — highest point in the region
  • Red & Rose Valleys — hiking among rock churches
  • Cavusin Village & Kaymaklı Underground City — historic settlements
  • Pigeon Valley & Three Beauties — panoramic viewpoints

Lunch included. Optional carpet demonstration. Evening flight back to Istanbul.

Day 10 — Departure from Istanbul

Transfer to Istanbul Airport (IST or SAW) for your flight. Check-in and farewell.

I wanted a tour that truly covered the classics. This 10-day itinerary was phenomenal. The guides were exceptionally knowledgeable at Gallipoli and Troy, making the sites incredibly engaging.
